by the way, reef2reef does not have paid membership and so does reef central.

Thanks for chiming in brother, it's good to hear everyone's opinions and suggestions on the matter.

Just to be clear, there has been no suggestion and or push of any kind from BRS leadership to restrict non-paid members from the market place.

I started this healthy discussion just as a way to brainstorm on ways to get people more involved and supporting the club as much as each of us can.

I believe that the club as a whole has evolved so much since the early days, and will only be getting better with everyone's support.

Did you guys know that besides national Salt Water clubs like Reef2Reef and Reef Central BRS (Boston Refers Society) is one of the biggest in the country if not the biggest as far as a local centralized Reefing community

Take pride in what we have accomplished/achieved over the years and let's keep moving forward!

We have this already, its called "The Grow out" contest. Just one of the many contest BRS has got paid for paid members...


Ahh, one of the many perks of being a paid member....

I can say, I have at least 2 high end corals that I got for free by participating in the Grow Out contest for being a paid member. That alone is over $50 bucks easy!!!!

I came to my first meeting when I was only 3-4 months in the hobby and paid for a family membership. Best $25 I ever spent: great speakers at meetings, met a ton of awesome and helpful people, and opened up great marketplaces for coral and dry goods.

This is a complicated hobby that requires a lot of work and thought. Having an active community to engage with has completely changed things for us.
