I added a BEAUTIFUL Potter's on Sunday, and so far he's being a model citizen. Not even looking at the corals & readily eating what I put in the tank.
One thing that he is doing though, is strategically picking at the rocks right near my solarensis wrasse (which is the biggest fish in the tank), so of course the solarensis feels like it is being chased and moves to another part of the tank.
So the angel picks at that part of the rock for a couple seconds, and then meanders again to the vicinity of where the wrasse is, and does the same thing. Doesn't chase, doesn't nip, just sort of hovers.
The wrasse isn't too psyched about this, but hasn't showed any signs of stress.
Here's my guess and pls tell me if you think I'm way off base here...
The fairy wrasses are very peaceful by nature, and the angels somewhat more assertive. Since the Potter's was added after the wrasse, it is not being aggressive, but prob. checking to see where he stands in the pecking order - to see if the wrasse will be a threat. Once they get comfortable around each other, things will subside and they will swim around and be their beautiful selves.
Am I being too optimistic here? I really want to keep them both, but also don't want to have a depressed fairy (wrasse, that is). Maybe I can get some fishy prozac?
