He had no back up plan in case he lost power. even though I do feel sadden that this has happened I find it hard to believe that people will spend thousands of dollars on there tank and not have some kind of plan for an emergency like loss of power. It is devastating though to lose a beautiful tank like that. I know when I had my tank crash a few years ago I almost quit the hobby.

You didn't read the whole post, did you...He had a generator but had to shut it down because of a complaining neighbor.

I read that he has a generator. He posted that the neighbor complained that he couldn't sleep and that he didn't care and left it on, even though they threatened calling the police. This was during a different outage, right after the crash, while trying to keep whatever may have been left, alive. Did he get the generator after the crash?

I wanted to add if I may, it is hard to tell exactly what happened to his tank cause he has not given any specifics other than power was down and tank crashed. the generator I think came into play after from what I can make out of it. Plus after reading the whole thread it seems he was using this tank to supply his store so maybe he has some recourse if this is a business. who really know though he is very vague with the whole incident and won't post after pics. It was a nice tank though, i feel for him either way.

It's a sad thing to happen, he had some of the rare species out there. i will be working on my power sercurity issue.
