IIRC, it is a morph of green paly under certain light condition.

I have plenty of the green paly but I have no idea how to turn them into purple.

Try tossing them in a micorwave on high for 4 secs. If you have a large amount of them you have nothing to lose from doing it to a 4 polyp frag. I believe the morph is brought on by stress.

I don't think stress can produce the purple color.

If you remember the story of PPE. They started as brown polyps and turn deep purple under artificial lighing.

Those purple death paly are retailed for $15 to $20 per polyps. there is no short supply for them and they grow very fast.

Dong I agree...I can't imagine buying a polyp for $68. I would need to buy one of those extended warranty plan.

Typically they go for about 50/polyp. Never seen them for anything less than 40/polyp. Via club-zoa.com, true PD's have a moderate growth rate.
You can get better deals when you buy them in packs. This guy MarvinsReef has insane palys here...

That photo is obviously taken under actinic only... it's not going to look like that in most tanks.

BTW, I saw some photo people posted on RC, I am not sure that photo was taken under actinic only. But the color of the photo was definitely enhanced by bumping up the saturation. The photo was used by a web site that sells this kind of Paly.
