Yellow Tang constipated for over a week :(

Glad to hear it! Just two things to keep in mind:

1. Sometimes where you pricked the fish will turn red, so you may need to dab a little neomycin gel on that area to ward off an infection.
2. It’s not unheard of for the gas bubble to come back and require another surgery.

That’s what I was afraid of lol the gas bubble coming back. I did dab the area with some iodine like the procedure suggested. He’s swimming and breathing normal. Hasn’t ate yet

DUDE!!!!!!! YOU JUST SAVED MY FISH!!!! I DID THE PROCEDURE. POKED HIM 3x. SOON AS I PUT HIM BACK IN THE TANK HES SWIMMING NORMAL AGAIN!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Doing better! Still lethargic not swimming much, but definitely not struggling to swim. Hasn't ate food but I did see him pecking at rocks every now and then

No progress on the tang with food. He’s looking really skinny. Underneath his eyes are starting to get sucked in. I’ve tried adding garlic to food but he’s not interested in anything I give. Starting to have small periods of laying on the sand then getting up again so I take that as a sign that he’s on his last day or two ):

Not at this stage, unfortunately. I feel tube feeding is the fish's best option.
