Yellow Tang with White Stripe

Good Morning,

yesterday I purchased a yellow tang. In the LFS she looked just fine.

I brought her home and acclimated her via a 45 min drip. Placed her into the tank.

Checked on her and saw that a white horizontal stripe has appeard on her body. She is swimming around the tank fine.

I have not seen her eat although there is seaweed on a clip available for her. She has been pecking at some LR here and there.

My coral beauty has picked on the tang a little but not really that much.
Anyone have any ideas ?

That would just be her "PJs" night time colors.
All will be back to normal when your lights come on.

Really !? Son of a gun, she really had me worried. I appreciate the reassurances.

any tips to get her to eat ? The Seaweed Salad is hanging on a clip but she shows no interest so far. Just give her time ?

Patience. They take a little bit to start eating. Mine took over a week before he would eat anything. That was 3 years ago. He's the biggest pig in the tank.

Picking on the rocks is a good sign. He just has to learn about the fancy new salad bar in his new home.

If she won't eat off the clip, you can try attaching the seaweed to a piece of rock rubble with a rubber band.
