Your friendly reminder....hurricane

Driving down 495 today listening to the doom and gloom.....the sky is falling. Thinking I need to get my generator ready tomorrow. Then I get an alert from Apex and sure enough I get home 20 mins later to find no power. Hooked up and running now. It's saved me a few times now, I think well worth the money spent.
I run an older Generac, cost around $800.

Back in 2011 we lost power for 3 day from Tropical storm Irene. A 1200 watt 2 stoke Harbor Freight generator kept the fridge cold and the tank pumps going. Even had some left for a light and fan.

All my DC return pumps are equipped with Coralbox battery backups that will automatically kick in if power goes out. Also have a big lithium generator charged up if the outdoor condition is not good for the gas generator.
