YWG and Pistol shrimp video

They have suck a cool relationship... That's one of two things I've vowed to get when I upgrade my tank... A pistol shrimp for my goby and a jawfish... I have enough sand just all that digging would cause a rock slide :( because I didn't support the base rock properly :o

Those two are such a great pair! That's always been one of my favorite symbiotic relationships in reef tanks. I had a Yasha Haze and Randalls shrimp, and they were a nicely color-coordinated pair. The Tiger in your video does cool work, bulldozing with his claws! :)

That shrimp is like the energizer bunny. Does it ever stop???

lol! nope, everynight it seems all the work they do gets ruined by the crabs and nass snails, so they start all over again the next day. its great they are so active and dont stay hidden

Awesome video! Symbiotic relationships are my favorite thing about my 35 gallon (hex) tank. My YWG and tiger pistol are so fun to watch. I've only had them for about a week, but they've (well, the shrimp has, with his faithful guardian standing watch) tunneled all over tank from one rock to another. Did yours eventually settle down in a consistent spot or keep meandering about the tank?

Speaking of symbiosis, I also have a cleaner shrimp that is pretty awesome at picking the place and the fish clean. I also plan on getting a bicolor angel and a cleaner wrasse as well (another cool symbiotic relationship), though I fear the cleaner will not have enough food with the few fish that are in my tank. Some cleaners also will eat a variety of other food (such as mysis or F1), but I know that they oftentimes do not and can die from lack of food. (Not to steal the thread, but) Any suggestions/comments on this?

I like how the goby is constantly on the look out and that pistol shrimp...it's is a mini bulldozer.

Cool video thanks.

Awesome, I need a goby for mine ASAP.. They had a YWG at skiptons but he looked very abused, so I passed on him.

If you watch the shrimp will keep one antennae touching the fish and if the fish moved the shrimp will retreat into the cave. I miss my old crew.
