ok so i have 1 zoa in my tank that isnt doing welll..... make that 2 one is a dragon eye. and the otehr in an unknown orange on. and the orange on i just cant realy get to open. but the dragon eye ones will open about 1/2 way.... i would post pics but is some of you might have herd my laptop is broken. and im one my ipod right now. but last i check all parameters were good. i did move the coral abotu 3 days ago about 2in to the left..... on the same rock............. and i just moved it back today to prity much ware it was before. but is there any thing that will just make a zoa that was doing great for 2+ weeks just be pissed all the time?

oh and the orage ones need high light. and i have them as high in my tank as pocible. so i dont no.

im going to go do all my testing right now. now that i think of it it could be my dkh. forgot to check that the past few days.

thanks for reading my little book .

are there any changes you made like a waterchange? top off with anything unusial? maby to much water flow. some times mine close when theres algae growing on them.

I would start by posting your water parameters. What's the flow like? Do you have a skimmer also? Most zoas I find are on the lower 3rd of the tank or on the sand. I've never really heard of high light loving zoas..tho I know they can adapt.

I would say if the orange ones are as high as they can go, you are doing all you can do for them. They were a tough keep for me as well unless right under the light.

For the Dragon Eyes, I would just keep them where they are and not touch them. They are pretty hardy and should bounce back.

Thanks. To every one. Um my dkh was low. It was at like 6.5-7 so I doses for that. So we will see how they do. I might atach the orange ones to the back glass as high as I can. Might look stupid but it's forthe coral right..... Easyer to frag to

They make magnetic frag disks... that might be handy there.

6-7 dkh isn't horribly low. I just tested my tank for the first time in 2-3 months and my dkh was 6-7. I added 2-3 doses of alk over a 2-3 day period so as not to raise the pH too quickly...

Those look really nice with some zoas mounted on the back of the wall... Great idea and I've thought about getting some...

some times they just melt one day there fine the next there gone. the back if your tank would look really cool with zoas on it.
