PLEASE HELP: sea anemone and xenia problem

Hey everyone the last few weeks my xenia and bubble tip have been shrinking and not opening up very much. I checked Params and all seem to be in order. Decided to buy new halides still no luck. I'm worried I'm going to lose my anemone and xenia.. please someone help

xenia demise usually means water quality...prob should post your specs on the tank and water. Usual questions of do you use rodi water? What is alk, salinity and calcium? HOw old is tank? You know the drill. Pic helps too.

xenia death. alot of people say xenia need iodine. how often are you changing water and how much.

75g tank been up and running for 3+ years.. change 15g every 2 week's. I do use RODI not sure on exact levels as I am at work at the moment

If it's pulsating xenia, I can give you a couple of stocks. It grows like a weed for me, and I am always happy to rehome it. I do know that xenia likes nutrient rich (dirty) water because it will only grow in one of my tanks, and I do dose iodine twice a week.

my long tentacle anemone is the only thing i am scared to have in my tank... one day it will be fully open and look healthy and the next day it will deflate and stay like that for like 3hrs. i have had it for like 3 weeks and you cant get my 2 maroon clowns out of it....not even with food

If u r worried it might have to do with iodine or calcium just add a little purple up. It contains both in low doses and if u see improvement its most likely ur issue. I know my anemone when it looks a little off usually just needs a bit of iodine or a feeding. I also use phyto plankton every few days.

It is normal for an anemone to deflated for a few hours. Usually does this when digesting or for lack of a better word pooping. Just don't over feed it.
