What to do with old T-5 bulbs?

I am using new/different bulbs, so I'm sure the spectrum changed, but that's not why I got new bulbs. I thought 7 months was pushing it for the life-span based on what I'd heard. Guess I will swap them back for another 4-5 months and hold on to the new ones.
Yeah I would say at least 10 months safely. I know people that don't change them till they burn out. But that's not a great thing to do.

Maybe it would be a good thing to do at club meetings, everyone bring old bulbs with month usage on it. People take what they want, the rest get recycled?
I nominate Bryan as head of the t5 chair!:eek:

my T5HO always burnout at around 10-11 months. I use ATI --- But soon switching to MH only

Did you buy those t-5 from a reputable retailer? I have never seen an ATI bulb burn out that quick.

They can also be used as light sabers in sword fights against others with old T5's...in this case, bigger is better, so get a 48" fixture for that biocube so you can have a better reach than your opponent.

I like to get in my kids tree house and play Zeus and use them as lightning bolts to rain down on the minions below.

(This is actually a reference to an old (1988 ish) David Letterman skit when he used to throw objects off the roof to watch them crash on the concrete below). Back when he was funny
