I’m curious as to what anyone’s thoughts were regarding the Reef Moon Shiner’s Method. A buddy (the owner of 3D Reefing) of mine swears by it and keeps trying to get me to make the switch.
How has your experience been? Like it? Dislike it? Why?
Interested to hear your experiences, good or bad.

All I can honestly say is that it definitely works and you'll be amazed at the coloration of corals. Last system

I sent info to a us rep in California that used the method but with Fauna marins products successfully until he came back East and didn't dose for 3 weeks, now everything is on dosers for travelling and ease of use. He's now talking about switching over to actually using reef moonshiners brand. There are tons of Reefers, even successful industry types that run the method. Andrew at Polo Reef runs the methods on his 17k system, I'll send you a RM FB Group invite.

Good to know! My buddy swears by it. Said he’s always struggled with sps until now. Growth is great color is great and he says it’s super simple. Icp test and dose accordingly. He said it’s a bit of a startup cost but after that, smooth sailing. I’ll have to start researching it!

Definitely do the ICP test before buying chems, I bought everything thinking at some point if use them but after 3 years I still have a couple bottles unopened.

I ordered 2 ICP’s yesterday actually. Should be here in a few days. Roughly, how much did it cost to get started? My buddy was saying he remembers it being like $200 or so..

Which ICP's? ATI or Oceamo?

Hey @Mike Lemming i use it and am In between systems right now but look forward to continuing the product. I did see healthier looking corals. More polyp extension and growth. The color of the corals was another benefit. The upfront cost was expensive but I felt that so isn’t the salt we use. Water changes are work/time consuming on bigger tanks. So I like the idea of making the adjustments to my water parameters using ICP. I use ATI. I like the ATI product but hate the slowness from the USPS to get it out of the country. Lately the time for me is ten days to two weeks for results. The ICP lab says this is a non issue. But your tank is waiting for the the adjustments. So it an issue lately for me. Some people don’t like the daily adjustments but for me it keeps me in touch with the tank. Hope this helps

What do you like best? I sent an ati in over two weeks still crickets lol
Oceamo although I tend to use ATI more often as I can't justify the extra money for a couple more results. Sit tight on the results, I do know they changed the address to where they get sent in California before being sent to Germany. Also, weather delays and such, could be something in Europe as well.

Did it have this shipping label on it? If not, it'll gewt held up with USPS but will eventually make it to Germany for testing.
