What gets in the way of your reefing hobby?

Was trying to do some stuff in the basement for the tank and came up several times to my dogs not being happy with their couch arrangements so I had to cover them with blankets since they're a tad bit spoiled so now all is well!

They often get in the way of my reefing and now that the basement is getting slightly more organized I try and invite them downstairs but due to their spoiledness they are also totally wimps!!!

For those of you that have pitbull mixes I am sure you can relate to this picture!!!

My rottie is a mega diva and cries the entire time I'm doing tank maintenance because she's being "forgotten". Her aside I'd have to say my day job despite it paying for corals/the electric bill. :D
 
Playing taxi for the kids, making dinner, making their lunches etc...!!!
 
Any tips on how to manage it better? What has worked for you?
I'm a huge believer of phyto and pod dosing! Phyto can outcompete them by consuming nutrients and pods help with detritus and so forth!
