Leaking Tank

I have a small leak in one of my tanks at the seam. Is there a quick fix I can make until I decide what to do? Will applying glue on the outside help? It's a slow drip, but I know I have to deal with it soon. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Front corner, about 6 inches from the bottom. I can see it as it drips down the seam. I have other tanks and several buckets, but there is no way I can catch my fish tonight. I'm hoping to buy some time until after work tomorrow. I'll probably end up buying a new, bigger tank if I have to break this one down.

Oh no! I've never had that experience but I have seen people use ratchet straps to hold things together. But be very careful. Good luck

Thanks. I'm not too worried about it exploding. I'm more concerned that it will drip all night, and I'll have an almost empty tank in the morning. I've been lucky. The tank is probably 15 years old so it makes sense that the silicone is wearing out.

Do you have a sump? You could always set up a funnel of some sort where the drip is falling and have it go right back into the sump so essentially you're not losing any water at all...

That's a good idea. It's very slow, but it runs off the stand in only one spot so if I can't stop it tonight, I will definitely have to recapture it.

Super glue and baking soda I believe

Tried flex tape first. It did nothing. I don't know how it holds boats together. :(

LOL As the guy in the video said "It's a very ghetto fix, but it works." I have WaterWeld on the inside and a mess of glue and baking soda on the outside. I don't know how long it will work, but hopefully, it holds until I figure something out.

Im right in SK and have a 150g rubbermaid tub i can loan you to drain into and house things till you swap. Let me know!
