Great Meeting Today

Another great time with the BRS. Thanks for having us again and for all of the kind remarks about the AccliMate.

No problem at all... Betsy and I had fun and it kept us from spending all our money...

Thanks to the clubs' BOD's for putting this together. It was nice to meet some new people and to see some familiar faces too.
I hope this can be an annual event!

I am a newbie and this was my first meeting. My fiancée and I had a great time meeting and talking to everyone. A very nice member even gave us a couple of frags to get started on our reef tank. Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. Gary & Amanda

It was nice to meet you both today, it's great that you both can share a hobby together.:)

well unfortunately I work on saturdays also. Well this is only because I still go to college and I work part time to pay the bills so I really have no choice. I will be graduating in December which means a real job so soon enough I will finally have the weekends off which will give me opportunities to actually get to some of these meetings.

Ooh, that's a bummer Robby (BTW, sorry for spelling your name wrong earlier:o), both Sats and Sundays.:: At least that will end soon.

Yeah so I would say in the next few months or so I should be able to start attending on a regular basis. Don't worry about the misspell, that doesn't bother me at all. The only thing I really don't like to be called is Bob or Bobby.

What a nice meeting yesterday.
Too bad I got there late and missed the pizza. :(
Still it was just great seeing people having success breeding fish and and fragiing corals. Very nice to meet Gary and Amanda, good luck with your new tank. Thanks to Dave and Gina Mcreeferson I got a super deal on a pink paly frag from them. Also thanks to Greg Hiller I scored a beautiful mushroom rock with 3 types of mushies. I take awful pictures but will try to snap a couple tonight to show off my new additions. I agree with the statement above we should think about having this be a yearly event, maybe invite another club or two.
Any way thanks to every one who helped put this together.

Glad you enjoyed it :)

We have many things on the table for the next year as over the last 2 year we have worked extensively on straightening out and simplifying the day to day of the BRS. This in turn has free up the BOD to work on bringing more new things as well as some long desired gaols to the group. That has already started to show itself this year. We have already talked to the future club leaders of Swam about doing this again. We are hoping to continue to do more intergroup events.

Dave & Gina as well as myself didn't make the trip to New Jersey for the fun of it. We made some good contacts and hopefully laid the ground work for some great things to come for the future of the BRS.

Then again this will all be a mute point if I run into a big upset come election time

I really enjoyed yesterdays meeting and am glad to hear that it is being considered for next year. It was good to meet folks from both clubs.

Yesterday was a great meeting, was a lot of fun meeting all the great BRS members!

We're hoping to make this an annual event, and since we hold it in NH maybe next year we can also bring in the NH Reef Club to make it even better.

You're welcome, it was our pleasure and it was great to meet you.:) I had a great time, David and I were talking about setting up our own little tank next time, we could work in shifts so that we could both have a chance to walk around and do some shopping of our own.:D It seemed like everyone did really well for themselves, there was some great stuff!

Like I was saying to some of the SWAM members, it's nice to combine all of our corals like that......I bought a frag of zoos from one of them (very nice gentleman, but I forgot his name :o) and I asked him what it was....he replied that it was the same one that they all had :D, that it was pretty common. I thought that was pretty cool because even though it was so common to them, I don't recall seeing that particular zoo on our board......and I'm sure the BRS probably had some stuff that they don't often see, etc.

What he said.:D I agree, I think this coming year is going to be great for the BRS....although, I think it's pretty great already.

Are you saying you didn't enjoy the pleasure of our company?:::p I had a great time....well, I got to sleep, you and David did not (sorry). It was a great trip, I love that stuff and I love meeting everyone....geez, I finally got to meet Anthony Calfo, what a nice guy BTW and an excellent speaker. I bought a bunch of great frags from Dr. Mac (new frags, yay!), met some nice reefers, it was a great trip, a bit of a ride, but great. Oh and we got to chat with our buddie Greg, can't forget that!:D

No I had a great time both days met alot of new people and got to chit chat with some people I haven't seen for awhile. Then I was up until 2:00am dipping corals.
Heather said to me last night Zach is sick he can't go to school tomorrow before she was even finished I said "I'll stay home with him" :)

anyone know were the water testing results are posted from today?

The results from the water tests performed at this past meeting were hand-written and left for collection with everyone's water samples.

If anyone didn't get their results, PM me :)

~Betsy

PS - I'm very happy to have volunteered - as Dave said, it kept me from spending my moving money :D

Glad one of us was on top of the game...

I had a great time. It was worth it lugging all that water. Met some very nice people and saw some regulars too. And it was only a half an hour from me. That was cool too! I know. I know. Don't get used to it!:)

Thanks to both clubs for getting this together.
Delta you have my vote! :D
