Acan Lords

John,
If you want to split shipping with me I can try to add the frag you want onto my order. Shipping would be like 18 bucks each or something if we split it. Let me know, my order ships on tuesday.

Ok everyone, here's my report:) Packaging very well done, . Triple bagged in a styrofoam box with heat pack. The frag is about 1" in size, but can't give you any more detail than that. Polyp started to open while acclimating, put it in my tank and can't really see any color as yet. My experience with mussids (in my tank anyway) is that it takes a few days to see it fully open with true color.

I was actually sidetracked by a birth event this morning:) so I couldn't pay too much attention to the Acan. My RBTA split and I was busy watching the mother colony move waaaay too close to the frogspawn.

John, I will definitely order a couple more polyps from your group order but haven't yet made up my mind. When is your deadline?

I agree with the shipping and packaging comment. Excellent job! Mine are acclimating right now. I'll post later when they're in the tank for a little while.

If you look at that cities list, it is for Acanthastrea echinata not A. lord. It is illegal to collect in the Lord Howe Islands, that is why they are so rare in the trade. I get availability list from all over the world every week, and they have never been on there. I have several suppliers that say they ship in as Blastomussa, and you just have to get lucky. Well, it is hard enough to get Blastomussa, never mind A. lord. I order 0ver 30 every week and never see more than 5, and none of them have been A.lord.

Tyrone is a good guy, and he has some excellent sources. Someday maybe I will get him to share. :)

Look up A. lord in veron, and look at the distribution map. Things are often listed in paperwork as species X but are really species Y. Yes, they come in as blastomussa sometimes, and that is generally from indonesia. Been happening since way before it was ultra popular.
