Ahhh slime!!!

Is there anything that eats red slime? my tank is getting coated....
 
If you read thru the thread, you'll find out that's what the consensus was and that it is more important to fix the cause which is probably high phosphates like I had.

I figured I'd help by sending this link instead of everyone revisiting the same issue they just went thru.
 
fix the problem not the symptom. phosphates are the devil. assume you use ro/di, if not you need to then do the water changes it will clear up once you purge it all.

You are both correct...But, Chemi clean will clean up the tank while you do get the parameters where they should be.
 
I second the "Chemi-clean". It is a strong oxidizer and you need to do a large water change after you use it. I used "Chemi-clean" once and I saw the red slime just melted away in front of my eyes.
