another 2 part question

im making a batch of all 3 parts (dow flake, baking soda, epsom salts & Dead seas Mag), due to the bottles i have im making 1/2 the recipe. Part 1 & 2 are fine, on part 3 seems like tons of dry VS liquid, 2 1/2 cup mag and 1 1/2 cup epsom salts. Is that right? From the article:

Dissolve Epsom salts (3 cups) and magnesium chloride hexahydrate (5 cups) in enough purified freshwater to make 1 gallon total volume.

I'm reading it the same way, 1.5 cups and 2.5 cups for 1/2 gal.

That is correct. It helps to warm the RO/DI a bit to help everything dissolve. Even so, it will still have a bit of separation after it sits. Randy mentioned awhile back to give the container a shake before dosing to mix it back up.

Cory, you should go with the updated recipe, 7 1/4 cups mag flake and 3/4 cups epsom salt along with enough rodi to make total of 1 gallon.(3 5/8 and 3/8 cups respectively in your case) I believe randy redid the recipe due to the high sulfur content in the epsom salt. Warming the water a bit makes all the difference trying to get all that solid into liquid.

Curious where the updated receipe is listed. This is the second time I've seen this posted, and still can't find any mention of it other than here.

Is it just the mag receipe that is different, or did the other two change as well. TIA
