Anyone know anything about vho lighting

I have a 4' 440w T12 setup with an ice cap ballast. just looking for some info if someone can help me out

It was popular before T-5 came out....and there are reefers here who say the VHO actinics are better than anything else on the market.

Do you want to use it for supplemental actinics, or main?

You could also ask what info you're looking for......

very inefficient compared to T5 lighting but as Jay mentioned the actinic vho's cannot be beat

I have 48 inch 660 watt setup powered by 3 icecap ballasts on my 120 gal DT
have not had any trouble keeping hard or soft corals. i love the color of the actinics
but when I see other tanks with halides I do wish I had that crisp shimmer they give off
also another point is I change the bulbs out every 10 months and they are getting harder to find not many company's stocking them it seems .
