best way to feed kalk reactor?

I use a dosing pump. I used to use a float valve and gravity feed but the float valve would clog frequently with the kalk water going through it.

The way I have it set up now, the dosing pump is on a timer that comes on every 2 hours. The kalk makes up about 90% of the evaporation, then I have a float valve in the sump connected to straight RO to make up the difference. This set up seems to work well. The other option would be to use a level sensor switch to control the dosing pump - probally a better way to do it.

I'm planning on using a peristaltic pump I had gotten from Innovative Aquatics awhile back. However for my other tank I picked up one of these:

He does Group Buys, excellant customer service, and price is pretty good; just add pump :) Quality is really good on the unit, and cheaper than some of the DIY kits.

I use a float switch (low level and high level) in sump, to turn on and off the peristaltic pump, that feeds the Kalc reactor with RO/DI, which outlets to the sump.

I've used those little Aqua-Lifter pumps with good results in the past.

Control the output with a small plastic needle valve, and put it on a timer, so it only
feeds kalk at night. Oh, and make sure that you use a check valve as well.

Some of the local stores carry them.
