BTA Split

I swear it was one anemone yesterday, but I got a text from the wife with this picture. Looks happy and healthy. A bit close to my powerhead for my liking, but the one on the left has been in that location for a few months. Anything I should keep an eye on?

Since going fallow 4+ weeks ago over some mystery illness, Ive since had a pod explosion in the tank and now my nem split.

I get home from work and the two anemones moved back together and look like one single again. Lol

Never heard of that happening. Maybe they are just trying to occupy the same spot.

Usually when they split that is the sign of a healthy tank.

How long have you have the nem? Are you sure it was not two stuck together originally?

It definitely split. You can see its mouth on the edge of one of the two where it appears to have tore right down the middle. Really surprised after all that that they both remain all bubbley. Figured they would deflate and hide.

I've had it since Christmas or so. Got it pretty small. Clowns never have looked at it, but its been one of my favorite things in the tank. Bubbles up nice every day. One has remained in the location it has always been, one has been on the move a bit since last night. Turned off the powerhead that was a bit to close for comfort to the adventurous one.

My clowns ignored my nem for about 8 months, but then it split and soon after they started hosting. Im sure it was a coincidence, but figured I'd throw it out there.

Well when the clowns get back into the DT in a few weeks, they will have another option. lol

I'll be honest, i'd pay good money to have an anemone host my clowns. Ive even considered a much more difficult breed of anemone (mag) to hopefully have the clowns host in.
