Do not quote me on this. From what I gather they are all pretty much all the same. It comes down to what options they come with and the quality of the connections. Most filters themselves are interchangeable. Some units come with the connections to the water source and some charge you extra.
If you have a 75gpd membrane you can change it to a bigger one later if you.
Good luck and let us know which you choose. Remember shipping cost also and piggy back your order if you can or run a group buy...
Right on all points.
One thing to add, when comparing membranes look at the rejection rates. If the rejection rate is low that means that you will blow through DI cartridges/resin much more quickly and that can get very pricy. The 75gpd membrane has a 98% rejection rate so it's IMO one of the best choices for our use.
Also note that RODI units usually don't produce their rated gpd unless in ideal conditions which most of us don't have.
Either of those is a good choice. In fact on their site they say that the Typhoon and Typhoon 3 have the same filtration, it's just the extra features that differentiate them. So maybe compare the features on the Typhoon 3 and see if you think it's worth the extra 40 bucks. I think the main things are the backflush feature for extending the life of the membrane and the included TDS meter which itself is like $20. So now that I think of it, it actually is probably worth it. Although obviously the Reefkeeper would get the job done too.
