cleaning used tank

whats the best way to clean a tank from your guys experiance?

i was planning on taking it out in the yard spraying it down with vinegar scrubbing with a clean rag and scraping with a blade. and hosing it down with the garden hose? its all glass. does this sound safe..corals will be going in this tank..

If you use vinegar,pour some over the glass that's down and let it sit a while.
Then each time you turn it for the other 3 sides,do the same.
Watch out around the silicone with the razor.
 
Definitely vinegar. I have also used a baking soda paste (just mixed with a little water). It seems to give a little grit to get the tougher stains off.

Make sure whatever your wiping with doesen`t give you small hair ine scratches Hate Those! But yeah you got it, all that and a whole lot of elbow grease and your all set.
