i was under the impression it was not good to drink, cause your body tries to add back in electrolytes to it so you can actually get dehydrated.
I've read that drinking distilled water is very bad for you actually because it's deprived of the necessary nutrients that are normally present in water, but I've heard that it's fine to grab the water before it reaches to DI chamber...
RO water is fine to drink. Freshly made deionized is not. Deionized water is one of the most caustic substances around because all the ions have been stripped from it. What that means is that it will strip ions from anything it comes in contact with, including your stomach lining. That's why you're supposed to let freshly made RO/DI water sit for 24 hours before using it so that it can "balance" itself by pulling ions out of the air, and the container it's in. Once it has sat for a day it's now ok to drink.
