emerald crabs vs red or green bubble algae

i got a few red and green bubble algae...does emerald crabs get rid of them or does somthing else?

They are hit or miss IME... Have a look at this; much better option IMO...

Like Dave said, theyre hit or miss. My emerald occasionally picks at the small amount I have. But I think in doing this it is actually spreading the spores from inside the pods. It might be a neccessary evil though. Without the emerald I dont know what would happen.

That is why that idea Dave McReef did is great because you pop them and suck out the spores at the same time. I've used it and it works great!
