Filefish

Anybody have any experiences with filefish? Wondering if I get one will it make my cleaner shrimp a nice snack?

I have one with shrimp in the same tank and no issues. He only eats all foods + aptasia

I have a filefish to clean up my aptasia and a couple of peppermints, and inexplicably a snow flake eel.
They are all doing well and my aptasia is 95% gone.

How long have you had the eel and shrimps together?
That sounds unusual

Is it a matted file fish? If so, they are pretty peaceful and stay small about 3-4 inches max. I had one for few years with coral banded, tiger, cleaner, and blood red shrimp. It never attacked the shrimp. Sometimes it would pick on some gorgonians or sps a bit.

Yes it is. So far so good with shrimp and SPS along with a couple of LPS. My PITA yellow tang is not taking to kindly to the addition however. I put a mirror along the wall to help with its aggression. If only I could catch him...
