While at Whole Foods today we decided to pick up a few sea food items to test and see what Macro and Damien like.
The massive purchase was ONE Little Neck (49 cents) and 0.06 lbs of squid tentacles at a whooping 42 cents. Definitely got some strange looks when I asked for a single tentacle and clam, then again while checking out. The first scale could not register the weight of the squid
.
Didn't forget about the veggies, being good parents and all. We picked the fishys a small head of broccoli. We heard that fish like to eat the little balls at the tips.
Should we have bought squid tube instead of squid tentacle
?
The Little Neck and squid tentacle have been chopped into approximately mysis shrimp sized pieces and frozen. Tomorrow I am going to see if the fish are interested it the new foods. Hopefully they like it, boy o boy that would be such a huge waste of money if they did not eat it.
Also bought one habanero, not for the fishys, I'll be finding out how hot that is tomorrow
. Thought the fish should not be the only ones to try something new.
