Getting back into the Hobby

I'm coming back with a Professional 28 Gallon JBJ Nano Cube. I have 40 lbs of sand and will be going tomorrow to pick out the rock. It will be a mixed reef with a couple fish. It will have a filter basket from mediabaskets.com and will be setup as a Refugium with a JBJ Nano LED. I will run a two little fishes Phos ban reactor, and a skimmer. My goal is to have some higher end fish and coral and I will take it slow. For fish I'm looking at 2 Premium Picasso's, Mystery Wrasse, 2 Green chromis that will cycle the tank, Yasha White Ray Shrimp Goby, and undecided on the last fish. For coral I will have some Rics, LPS, Chalices, and some SPS.

You could even pee in the tank if u wanted to....no need for live fish

I have always used a fish damsel, chromis and never had a problem. I do use bacteria to help with the cycle.

Just put some LR in there and let it brew. the LR has plenty of established bacteria on it, you do not need fish or shrimp, let alone peeing in your tank.

its good to see coming back into the hobby. i cant wait to be swapping corals with you again lol.

I went to Tropic Isle today and got some rock. I got 9 lbs of dry rock which is 3 pieces and 9 lbs of Live Tonga rock. I might get a couple more pieces later.
Now to hurry up and wait for the cycle to start and finish.

I'm going to move my 2 green chromis later today and dip a couple corals after I acclimate the fish so I don't waste any water. I will add some new water to replace the water I used to acclimate the fish, and to also get rid of some Nitrates.

Well just finished dipping corals and rocks from old tank and got them in the new one.

Purple sea whip opened up in less than 3 mins and looks great.

Good stuff, hopefully the led acclimation goes well. Use the screen if you see them acting weird

Looks nice I like the rock work! Nice shelf!

I will thanks. So far they look great! Really think I'm gonna need a ballast. It keeps doing what I had told you.

Yes I love the way the rock came out. I'm hoping to get a clam to stay on the shelf, but we'll see.

Shouldn't be to hard to get one to stay there. A nice Blue Maxima.
