Yeah.
It's good to feed clams.
As far as I'm concerned, that's about all it's good for.
But if you want to feed a small clam, there's not a better product.

No problem.
You should get more opinions, though. Never take just one hobbyists word in these forums. ;)

The only bad thing about DT's plankton is that you have to be careful not to overdose it. I don't think it creates that much problem but you will see lots of green on your glass and you have to clean your glass more often then what you normally do.

I've been using Dt's for a little more than a year. I actually think my tank is healthier for it. I only use a small-moderate amount 2X week.

it's refrigerated, but not frozen.
it's live phytoplankton.
there's an expiration date on the bottle.
it should not smell gross when you open the bottle.

Thanks Moe, I never know there is an expiration day on the bottle. Got to check mine.

i dose only once a week as a feeding supplement. also think the tank's inverts have been doing better for it.
i have mostly LPS, tridacna, polyps, and zoos.
very happy with the product as i was using the dried TLF products and this elicits nice results in comparison.

I just started with Phyto-Feast. I saw it at MACNA. It looked pretty interesting. All Things Fishy began to carry it. I use the boost for gut packing the baby brine that I feed my bangai cardinal babies. I also use the phyto-feast for my clams. It is MUCH more dense than DT's, so if you find it or use it, cut down to 1/3 of what you would use for DTs.

I tried the switch because I found that 2 out of every 3 bottles of DT that I got was already "passe compose". Even those that weren't bad, turned funky within a week or so after opening. So far, so good with the Phyto-feast. No nasty smell and the clams are not "coughing" when I use it, like they did with other dead plankton products.

dont forget to put it back in the fridge when you are done. I used to use this stuff, and I dosed my tank, and then got sidetracked and it sat out overnight, and into the day and it spoiled. 15 bucks down the drain
