Is tropic marine salt better than IO salt?

all the more reason to use gloves which we really should be anyway.

We have found that mixing the TM reg. and the TM Pro has given us excellent results.

See, I was thinking about mixing salt as well. But for some reason my conscience(sp) tells me not to. I was thinking about mixing Oceanic with TM. Because Oceanic has a high level of CA but lack ALK and TM is the other way around. I just love my reef too much to do such thing.

I was reading something on RC about this, and apparantly a lot of people use an IO/Oceanic mix. Oceanic is high in calcium, low in alk, and IO is low in Ca, and high in Alk.

I think a lot of the issues people have wiht changing salts is Alk levls, and calcium levles. Rasie your Ca levels 200 points in a day, and see how your corals do.

Well, we have had excellent results mixing the two TM's...if you were going to mix, I would start slow with small changes, and go from there. After doing this mixing for over a year, Iffer said she loves her reef too much NOT to mix!
