finally got myself a bigger tank!!

added my sand and a little dry rock!

got the lighting installed and a lot more rock...think i need more though and im not really feeling the mh lighting

started with a 45 with a 5 gal sump and 5 gal quarintine...gonna use the 45 as qt when the big tank is able to accomodate everyone!!

Finally got my new skimmer and overflow box!! Installing this weekend! All i need now are heaters and we're ready to rock!

It doesn't seem to have any brace on the tank, that would worry me a bit.

+1 are the braces missing on this tank?

The brace is on the canopy which secures to the tank. Theres a whole frame type setup for the tank in the stand and canopy.

are you sure the tank is meant for fish? They sell 125 gallon for frog and turtles. The brace has to be on the tank or it wont be effective.

you should be very carefull with the tank ,,i believe older tanks do not have center braces .but i have seen tanks leak becaouse of no center braces or broken ones


some nylon bolts and some acrilic center brace would help

That i did not know..the gentleman i bought it from had it set up as a reef tank for years. Before he sold it to me he separated the glass and reseamed all of it so i wouldnt have to down the road(easier for him being a glass guy!) Ill have to research a diy center brace. Thanks for the heads up!!
