July 2005 frag swap thread

As usual, in the frag swap thread, please note what you're looking for and/or what you've got to trade.

Posting frags for sale here is okay, as long as you're just a hobbyist, and the frags will be at the 30Jul05 meeting.

For new folks: a "frag" is a piece of coral. In this hobby we like to cut off pieces of coral and trade or sell them to others. We have a frag swap at the end of our monthly meetings.

To keep this thread as uncluttered as possible, if your post is not specifically about arranging a coral trade (or selling/buying), then start a new thread with the question or point. For example, if you want to know the best way to pack frags, please start a new thread.

Hopefully the frag swap thread will remain useful.

Note that if somebody starts a new thread about their frags available at the June meeting (not within this thread), it will get moved to the appropriate Marketplace forum.

Okay, now that I have accidentally pulled up the July Frag Swap thread from last year..... oops! Here's what I'm interested in for those who are bringing frags:

blue Zoos either blue on blue or something other than brown on blue (Dawn - you got any??)
blue ricordea
or anything bright colored that will fit in my 20G with 110W PC's on it (just over 5 watts per gallon).

I will have a freebie or 2 for newbies too. I'll have to check my tank to see what I can bring. Off the top of my head I know I've got some xenia and maybe some shrooms. - I'll post it later.

lilac/lavender with green polyps. under suboptimal lighting it turns grey (polyps remain green).

Armando, I would love to get a Green Slimer frag. Had a tempature incident last month and lost my last one.

Anyone who has some Ric's or Zoo's they want to trade or sell send me a PM, or post.
I have some red shrooms and some orange ric to trade for.
I would like to get my hands on some Blue or Pruple or Pink zoo's
And I would love a hairy mushroom and a colorful ric.

I am always looking for all yellow zoo's, "fire and ice" zoo's, an acan lord polyp...lost one in the move and would like to replace it. Umm and pretty much anthing I dont have that RC consideres rare (I like bragging rights..I cant help it) let me know what you have and are willing to trade and I'll let you know if I'm interested.

Oh I might be able to get 3 polyps of blue w/ yellow mouth zoo's RC calls them alien eye, They are growing under the frag shell they are on and I need to try to get them off.

1. two frags of blue green disc with orange eye zoas 20 to 30 polyps each, Large for $20 and small for $15

2. Pale whiteish pink zoas, about 30 to 40 polyps, two frags $20 each

3. One mounted Neon green tip hariy mushroom $10

4. Alien eye zoa frag, about 20 polyps, $20

5. Medium frag of brown zoas on small rock, about 40 to 50 small polyps, $25.

All frags will be treated with Seachem reef dip and Malachite green right in front of you when pickup.
