I was just reading your post about the leak into the external overflow before breaching the weirs in the tank. It sure sounds like you're missing the seals between the internal overflow and the glass. What did you find?

Thank for thinking it through. The two gaskets were installed on either side of the glass. The water was going into the external box through the bulkhead, which made me think it wasn’t a gasket / instillation issue. But somehow there was water filling the weir box in another way beside the teeth at the top.

I took overflow off the tank and put water in the internal weir box. That held water with no leaks up until the overflow holes. There was not noticeable break or split in the seam on the internal weir box. So no real results on what I found. Perhaps the leak is really small and at or above the bulkhead holes on the weir box.

I’ve reattached things now and am gonna give it another shot. No sure what else I can do?
