Liams 180 Gallon project

good luck with the project... got that thing together mighty quick, nice looking work there. what color you thinking of staining?

staining is already done,vermont maple.Varnishing now:)

Come on man, you are making me look bad! I have been working on my tank/stand for almost a year and a half! :o I'm such a loser! When I build the next one I will have someone else build the stand, I am NO carpenter! Looks great by the way!

today i built the doors.They are constructed from 1/4 birch sheet and framed with pine casing.
Here is a pic of the frame and dado detail.

here is the canopy,stained and varnished.I still need to paint the inside and do some touch up on the exterior finish

Damn, nice work Mate! I agree with Derek though. There will be more light under that hood eventually. You are the only person I know of that has tried to squeeze a 400 and 250 mh under the same reflector! :eek:

thanks Vinny.I bought a fixer upper house and have picked up alot of tools along the way,carpentry is actually real easy if you have the right tools.
 
Holy cow Liam - that looks REALLY nice! So a tank back upstairs again, eh? That'll look fantastic on those hardwood floors!
