Mushroom Coral Laying down

Hooah

I recently purchased a green mushroom coral approximately six inches tall, and after setting it on the bottom of my tank (RSM 130D) the mushroom laid down with the head on the sand, been like that for three days down. Is this typical, or is the coral stressed. I did have a cap coral shoot out some mucus after repositioning it the same day I introduced the mushroom. All parameters are good and I supplement with iodine and strontium. Other than laying down the coral looks fine.

What do you mean by laying down? Got a pic?

Head bent over to the ground otherwise it is fine

that looks more like a toadstool than a mushroom. Give him some time to acclimate. Leathers are fiicky.

Well,it could be a rhodacatis mushroom.Although I don't see any mouth.
Don't worry, both mushrooms and toad stools are extreamly hardy.

That is a toad stool, looks fine to me. They are very hardy.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give it sometime to acclimate to the tank

Thats a toadstool, and they can take a while to adjust. when I had one, it took it 2 weeks to fully open up. They also shed, where they will retract their polyps and develop a shiny coating over their head. Then, they'll shed it off a few days later and come back looking nice and puffy.

Just curious, but what's that to the left of the picture,a torch, frogspawn?
