My 90 gallon adventure

He has a little of everything now! LMK when your up and running I got some extra Orange cap you can have.

sorry for not responding...totaled my car in a bad accident a week ago today  but anyways! thanks man I'd love some and by the looks for your FTS's you have plenty of it! And that means I'll also get to come up and see your tank in person.

BACK TO MY TANK

I'm ordering two of the Janvil Glass Restore systems that I have heard produce amazing results...The only thing I've been warned of is their disclaimer calling for "a little elbow grease". From what I've heard it's more like 3 hours of constant buffering with all your strength. If this set doesn't work I'm buying their silver package that supposedly works with next to no effort from what I've been told and because of how much I spent on this tank, stand and sump, I will be under what I would've spent on this new by a lot even with the more expensive cleanser. It's called Glass Revive and that can be found here--> http://www.janvil.com/glass_revive.htm

This is the product I am ordering, it's pretty easy to find on the page http://www.janvil.com/glass_restore.htm

This should arrive this week and I'll be moving my tank this week as well so we shall see how this all works out for me! I'm hoping this stuff is as good as they say and yes, I will be posting a step by step picture guide of what I do while removing the scratches.

Why dont you just use a buffer instead of "elbow greese" You could rent one or if it will work I have one you could use.

Im not showing off brother just showing you the simple mod to make the stand more attractive.

I have to totally agree here. Making the stand taller makes an incredible difference on viewing the tank! I wish I would have done that to my setup.

Makes all the difference in the world!

Even now Ray I wish I did more to it like change the color to a darker mahogony and make it a little taller then I did.

Meh, I'm lucky to be fine said the police/emt/firemen. I tore my MCL and ACL and am cut up and bruised bad...my airbags didn't deploy and i crashed straight on into the car infront of me after my brakes locked up. At least this was a newer car to me and the insurance company's inspector is liable as he had said the brakes were perfect and would be fine for 5 more years...not one year. I'm not talking the pads, those were replaced, I mean the cables and stuff.

Anyways, I am most likely going to use a buffer and drill to work the scratches, I don't think I have the patience right now to scrub by hand.

a little surprise came in the mail today

thats my work station. tomorrow I'm getting the drill and buffer out and am going to hit this thing hard. I know that it's hard to tell from the pictures because of glare/flash but the scratches in that little area are noticably fading and becoming shallower i guess you could say. word of advice just from the two hours i spent on a 5"x5" square of glass...use a drill from the start.

The bowl only has water in it to keep the buffing surface moist as told to in the directions on the bottle.

tomorrow I will be using a drill and buffer so stay tuned!

I'm going to start the scratch removing again as soon as the rain thats supposedly coming soon stops.

if you're a BRS 'recycler', look at the FS forums...there are lots of skimmers you could save some serious $ on.

Nice work Ed! damn... nice day out to do that too... I guess tomorrow you can start to really buff that bad boy out
+1 on that light... def. a nice pick up!!
