Is it grown in natural sunlight? I used to get coral from a guy with a greenhouse and we would through those at each other while picking corals.

No it was in my frag tank under an AI blade. I put some Flux Rx in the tank to kill hair algae.
It killed all the hair algae but a lot of the bubble didn’t die and that one piece got huge.

I just had 2 male Pitho crabs shipped to me to combat a small but growing bubble algae problem. They've only been in the tank for 3 days. One comes out occasionally but hasn't shown interest in the bubbles yet. The other crab is hidden away - alive still hopefully. Has anyone here kept Pithos? They supposedly are more effective than Emerald crabs for the problem. Fingers crossed they get to work soon.

Short lifespan in my experience but they do tend to get the job done. But my bubble algae has returned and I still have some pithos left in there maybe they lost interest.

Update on my new pitho crabs...after several days of very little activity, one of the crabs yesterday mowed down three nickel-sized patches of bubbles in the span of a few hours. Super happy about that. Most of the first week these crabs were buried in the sand. I did see one of them sitting in a small leather I have a couple of times. On another occasion, I saw one riding the back of my tuxedo urchin, picking at some of the debris the urchin had piled on itself. Pretty funny.
