My RSM 250 is finally coming to life :)

beautiful tank!!! amazing corals!!!!! I'm all goggly eyed over here!!!

I lost a lot of my SPS due to stn and rtn. :( I'm pretty sure it was an alk issue from when I tried chemipure blue instead of elite, because the blue didn't suck the alk up like the elite does. I didn't realize I needed to change my dosing amounts and I wasn't testing my water until it was too late. It's slowly coming back, though.

Sorry to hear. These tanks are so sensitive, even when we are trying we can make a huge mistake unknowingly.

Glad you aren't discouraged and things bouncing back for you.

Amazing tank. Sorry to hear about the stn/rtn issue. I constantly struggle with it. Glad to see your tank still looks good!

Thanks guys, it's been a frustrating few months for sure. :hypnotysed:

Sorry to hear it. How does it suck up alkalinity?

The chemipure elite has gfo in it that lowers the alk, and the new chemipure blue doesn't have the gfo in it.

Looking good.
I'm not familiar with Chemipure product but I've ran GFO since starting this hobby and never thought it would affect my ALK.

Thanks! I didn't realize until it was too late, but after doing some research, the GFO can lower alk, so it's the only thing that I can think of that I did differently. The torts are the ones that took the biggest hit. I don't even have one piece of this one left... and the hot pink mille is now a hot brown mille!

Learn something new everyday. I didn't pay attention to GFO lowering ALK because I've always ran GFO.
My frags are coming along. If you need a frag of that tort to start, let me know.

Here's a FTS from tonight...I cut all of the dead ones out and put a few frags from the rack in their places.

Amazing!

That sticks about the issues with your SPS.

You FTS still looks beautiful though :)
