I got this Torch on Friday from a lfs.

I believe he had it for a day or so before I bought it. It wasn't open in his tank either, should it of opened by now, the lfs said to give it a week.
It's in a 29g with 250w MH. My chems are:
pH- 8.2
Calcium- 450
Alkalinity- 9.8
Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- 10
Phosphate- 0
Magnesium- 1470
Salinity- 1.024

Thanks Chad

How did you acclimate? My Euphyllias (8 head frogspawn, 20 head frogspawn, 7 head hammer) opened completely within an hour of adding to the tank.

Give it time. Looks healthy to me just pissed off Give it at least like a week without moving it and see how it does I`m sure it will open right up Torch is a very hardy coral.

i have one in my tank ~that size and at night and in the am it looks like that takes a little time to open

needs time to adjust to the different water chemistry, as well as the different light intensities in your tank. Once the zooxanthellae and the torch coral itself become adjusted im sure it will open up and begin to grow, so long as you keep optimum water parameters, of course.
