New fish ideas

I just picked up a 5+ inch foxface for my 90. And loving it. A buddy of mine wants to pool up a LA order and I'm torn on what to get.

My livestock is now;
1 skunk cleaner
1 sand sifting starfish
2 firefish (small)
1 ocellaris clown (small)
1 foxface (mammoth)

I currently feed;
Frozen brine with Kent's Garlic Extreme
Flake
Pellet
Nori
Phytoplankton

For corals I have;
Zoas
Tyree war coral
Frogspawn
Various sponges
Xenia
Anthelia
Birdsnest

My wish list includes;
1 Bug Eye Black Bar Soldierfish
1 Chocolate Chip Starfish
1 flame angel
1 Green Mandarin fish
1 Blue Spot Long Spine Urchin
1 Carpenters Flasher Wrasse

I'm probably not ready for the mandarin, and I'm hearing the Soldierfish eats live only which requires me to introduce another food and I'm not ready for that. I am not interested in any tangs at this time.

Anyone got any ideas?

I would avoid the mandarin for now. As I recall your tank is relatively new and thus likely lacks the pod population to sustain a mandarin.

Chocolate chip stars are not reef safe.

Wrasses wrasses n more wrasses lol
I wish I had the room

I know these guys are not on your wish list but two interesting and I would consider fairly bulletproof fish in my tank would be a Gold Midas Blenny, very cool fish gets longer and unique body shape and is one of those fish that when I have people over they always point that out as one of their favorites and the other fish that adds color and flash is the yellow Coris wrasse, you do need a sand bed which I think you have, read up on it, they are reef safe with caution but they seem very beneficial for a mixed reef. The other fish that is a unique color and very peaceful is the Royal Gramma Basslet, I got one and it has been fairly shy but when it comes out you immediately notice with it's unique colors.

I'm working on that, Danny. It is fairly new, and has a large population currently, but I don't foresee it being good enough. Not yet anyway.

I thought about another clown, but the clowns he received in his last order were so tiny they can hardly be seen. I'd hate to end up with that.

Not sure when the order would be placed. Probably not for a few weeks.

I didn't know the choc. Chip stars were an issue. Glad I didn't do that, then.

I'm leaning towards the wrasse, but the last 2 they sent me were DOA. We said screw it and took the credit.

He has the Midas Blenny and the Royal Gramma. I'm going to check them out and see if they appeal to me.

Sounds like an eerily familiar situation hahaha. I do like the Midas blenny and royal gramma. They have nice colors and are not too shy

For a 90 the smaller tangs you could work with are 1) yellow tang 2) tomini tang 3) kole tang

Not sure I want a tang, just yet. I really want a powder brown, but know one will outgrow my tank at some point.

Hoping to hook up with JB and check out his Blenny and gramma, soon.
