I too started using Reef Colors A,B,C & D and Reef Energy A & B. I too use another calc, alk, mag brand that being SeaChem power to make two part. I have no need for Red Sea's nitrate and phosphate reduction products as I run bio-pellets in a JNS reactor (awesome unit!) and carbon and phosguard in a BRS reactor.
The Reef Colors A,B,C & D says to add 1ml for SPS for every 20ppm of calcium usage. My tank uses/loses 70ppm of calcium a week so I'm just going to add 3ml of each to my six gallons of water change weekly.
The Reef Energy A & B (which I think is similiar to AquaVitro Fuel) says to add 2ml for SPS accelerated growth or 4ml for SPS enhanced colors (low nutrient) per 100 liters daily. My tank is 60 gallons or 227 liters. I've been adding 4ml of each daily. It does cloud the water yellow for a few hours so I try to add them before I go to bed.
The cost for the full set up Reef Energy, Reef Colors and a Reef Colors test kit was a bit steep at $125. The 500ml bottles of Reef Colors A,B,C & D will last me 166 weeks (over three years) and the 500ml bottles of Reef Energy A & B will last 125 days or four months.
I am leaning on the side of caution and only dosing at 50-75% of recommended dosage and see how it goes. I also use their Pro Coral salt.
