Peter, I have lost some also recently and have been unable to put a finger on it myself. It was more widespread in my tank this time than other times, however. I think it was a temp issue I experienced in that hot stretch a few weeks back. I have had decent luck with Furan 2 dip in turning some around. I don't think it is necessarily an ALK issue as my alk is rock stable all the time and I supplement to keep it that way. I have had alk swings in the past and not had them effect zoas/palys at all. In this most recent issue, my palys held up better than the zoas did. I thought I had zoa pox on one colony, but never actually confirmed I did, they just did the closing up, getting long and thin, and melting thing. Very frustrating, but the only thing I can get to turn them is the Furan 2 so it seems you may be on the right track. It also can seem to take some time after treatment for them to turn so patience is a key as always. good luck and I certainly understand your frustration........
