finally you kids arnt fighting like little school girls about a freekin protein skimmer... its a piece of equipment for a fish tank that some people somehow find controversial. i was calling that bluff the second i saw that tank joel..... and he didnt ask if the advise of not runing a skimmer was true or false he was asking if runing it is a must and the answer is no. you can sucessfully run a tank without one but it is more involved. on that note i will be pulling the rip chord so i dont get dragged into this heated debate. thanks for the chuckle guys i needed it

Joel at BRASS they are having a session on tank picture taking,

"i'm even less happy with my ability to take a good picture..." this is the reason I havnt posted a picture of my tank. I am looking forward to getting some pointers. My brother, and a friend of mine both go skimmerless, I personally think you need them.

Two months ago at the meeting the speaker was talking about not using MH, and going without a skimmer. I am fairly new so I really dont have an opinion on it, but I am buying a new skimmer next week.
