hmmm let's calculate this. What volume of water changes do you do monthly? My skimmer pump probably costs under 3 dollars a month at 35 watts...

Dude, nobody said that expensive equipment and stuff is useless and the fact that its expensive is irrelevant. I have a 300 gallon Full Blown Zeo tank with thousands invested in top notch equipment. Including a skimmer This has nothing to do with cost so dont go there. I am by no means trying to say save money avoid a skimmer, but just the pics of KSC's tank prove that you saying its not feasible or whatever you are trying to say is wrong. It can be done it is being done successfully and if KSC is happy and successful without a skimmer then why say they are not?
You said earlier you never saw a T5 tank that made you say "Wow" either but now you are using them.
I think we are starting to argue over nothing now. I just think that there are many ways to keep a succesful system and its interesting that what works for you may not work for someone else. Joel, I did not intend to ruffle your feathers and I am sorry if we got into a pissing mach. Good luck with all your tanks and methods.
You can give it but you sure can't take. Let's see a couple shots of that "high tech" zeo tank....
Those Germans are no joke when it comes to reef keeping.
