So I'm trying to tweak my reverse durso in an attempt to quiet the tank down so Kim won't kick my a** too much :p

I swapped out the 1.5" piping to 2" piping and it made it quieter but at the same time a different kind of noise. Here is the current setup...

And here's how high up it is... (purple marker line is water line to help. Salt spray is from old setup :()

So couple questions... Should I make the pipe that goes into the water longer to help with bubbles? Also if I raised up the durso by turning the T circled below would that help with noise as well?

Also would it help to put more holes in the cap? Currently I just have one...

Separate the lines and run two Durso's. The water crashing into each other from the 2 pipes will never be quieted down unless you seriously reduce you flow through the drain

Thanks Greg. I'm also going to try do to the Herbie/Derbie whatever it's called method of installing a gate valve on one line as I have the required two lines to do that method.. Now I just need to find a gate valve

Damn Jay where were you yesterday before I purchased another one :( That's half the price of the cheapest ones I found... Oh well hopefully someone else wants one :o

sorry, I have to work once in a great while :p :)

Thanks for the link... If the Herbie drain thing doesn't work I'll grab some ideas from there...

The beauty of the herbie is that once you get it set right, you have little to no bubbles OR noise down there.
