Rio 2500 pump blew up

Hey all

Just thought I'd report this to anyone using a Rio pump. Never had this happen before but I had a Rio pump 2500 version basically bust and leak oil into my water. It happened with the Salt prep holding brute tanks luckily for me.

Smelled like diesel fumes is only way I could explain it and left a slick on the water!

Dumped everything out! But I won't be buying one of these pumps again

I have had bad luck with rio just dying..

That is no surprise for Rio pumps. They are the bottom of the barrel. Actually underneath the barrel.

lol they arnt good enough for the barrel, I have a old old old 2500+ tho that is my go to S.H.T.F. pump, maybe I should rethink that
