Sedra 5000 Issue

Running a sedra 5000 on a ASM G3 I'm noticing air escaping from the back of the pump, in the area were the cord comes out of the pump. Ive checked the impeller and impeller cover, they look fine.
Any ideas?

Seems very odd. Are bubbles collecting under the pump and then bubbling up through this part or does it look like they are coming from inside the skimmer?

They're coming from the back of the pump housing.

I meant from inside the pump. Sorry for the typo. I checked out my Sedra 3500 and it doesn't do anything like this. Could there be a small crack/hole in the housing where the impeller sits?

I'm wondering if the housing separated and it's letting air leak out. It's tricky trying to see it thru the stream of bubbles.
