Shaving Brush Plant

Hello- I was wondering if people have had any experience with this marine plant. We are looking to find a nice plant that doesnt grow to crazy that we can stick into our main tank. We dont use a refugium so no cheato or crazy algae but something that can help maintain nitrate and phosphate levels. While researching this plant keeps showing up. Does anyone have personal experience with this or anything else. And does anyone have one to sell can't seem to find it in stock anywhere.
Thanks
Julie and Corey

We had them at a store where I worked in the past. IIRC, they don't last too long.

I have had many in the past, none have lived longer than about 6 months. I don't know why this is, they just start to brown out and die. Jay's Aquatics usually has them, if not any LFS can order them for you. Good Luck

If you don't have a closed top(canopy) what about mangroves? I love mine, especially when the leaves start to sprout. You can also look into a red macro algae and use a lead plant weight to secure it together and bury it in the sandbed. As long as you continue to trim it back you shouldn't have any issues.
