Thanks Shane! You were the one that inspired me to go with a single halide. What bulb are you running on yours? Photoperiod?
So its kind of hard to tell in the pictures, but i have a sheet of acrylic bonded to the bottom of my power strip. I was hoping that it would protect it. What you can't tell from the pic is that the sheet on the bottom of the power strip extends about 2" beyond the back of the power strip. I was hoping to protect the outlets/plugs with this. And i think it does this pretty well. Huge downside is that depending on the location of the +/- plugs on a wall wart or timer, they will either fit with the bulk of the device going upwards, or they won't fit at all. I believe a lot of the dc wall warts out there can be mounted both ways. So they will "fit". As far as whether or not the large wall wart will block neighboring outlets...i can't be sure of.
