oh man, this is making me question my decision of a 57 rimless build...great looking stuff!
Yeah this seems to be a great time of year for rimless builds right Shane? 
I love it. I've got the water level about 5/8" from the top of the tank. Looks soo very crisp and clean. btw i just ordered an Avast YouBuilt MR5 with their biopellet mixing nozzle. As well as a 1/2" soc x soc coupling so that i can swap the unit back over for use with carbon etc

Really didn't like them. So i swapped them out with spears sch80 gear. I didn't bother with the coupling and just made 2 separate 1/2" down pipes. 1 for biopellets and 1 for everything else. I took a syringe and glued the screen to the top disc with all purpose pvc cement. btw the fuge light is a marineland single bright led that i had on my 10g fw. I like the fit but its obv much to dim. Looking at options.

Oh sorry to hear about your misfortune firsttimer. I've had my for almost 5 years. I take care of her and she takes care of me haha
I heard about the "American DJ power strip". It has 8 outlets for about $30. I went with the "Technical Pro PSB9" for about $37 on amazon but with 9 outlets. ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0029L7KRY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) Happy surprise to me was that it has a usb port in the front to charge your phone? lol or something else down the line that could use usb power i suppose.
The best surprise to me when i got it in the mail was that the side mounts are removable. So i removed them and screwed them to the top of the power strip. Siliconed up any seams that i could find on the unit. Screwed the top mounts into the cross braces of my stand. Which had to be done after the reservoirs were in of course. Literally took me about an hour and some pretty F'ed up knuckles. I had some scrap white acrylic so I cut a piece to size. About 1" overlap on the back end to "protect" the outlets. I really have no idea if this matters seeing as how far the outlets are from the water. If anything it just means that DC wall warts are a pain to hook up into it.
All in all, it was a pain to install, but i'm very pleased with the end result. For example, my gold bar cleaner goby found his way into the overflow box. Flip of this switch and that and i was able to dig him out in a hurry before class. The end result couldn't be more user friendly. Im gonna wait on finishing up the label on it until i get new lights etc and outlet connections are more final.
btw the power strip is rated up to 15a.

Few updates:
About 6 weeks ago my buddy got a skinny rbta which found its way into his koralia. Split it in two. So 2 weeks ago he gave me one of them for free! It eats silverside and clam very well. Pretty deflated in these pictures-just took a dump. You can see in the "close up" where it is still regenerating. I'm hoping it actually bubbles up some time after its done healing.
I moved a bit of rock around and got what I think is a swollen knob candelabrum (sea rod).
I bought some thin carbon fiber rod at the hobby shop. Its one of these
GreatPlanes won't tell me what they use as a binder in their carbon fiber only that it is inert in salt water and they considered it potable water safe...sketchy imo but we shall see. I cut a bunch of 1.5" rods and inserted them into a silicone seam. I did this a few weeks ago and they appear to be doing their job thus far. I have the materials for a screen top but I don't have any of my tools with me. Left them back in NH not thinking I would need them for a while. Never ever doing that again! Putting the top on after the weekend.

Thanks Shane! You were the one that inspired me to go with a single halide. What bulb are you running on yours? Photoperiod?
So its kind of hard to tell in the pictures, but i have a sheet of acrylic bonded to the bottom of my power strip. I was hoping that it would protect it. What you can't tell from the pic is that the sheet on the bottom of the power strip extends about 2" beyond the back of the power strip. I was hoping to protect the outlets/plugs with this. And i think it does this pretty well. Huge downside is that depending on the location of the +/- plugs on a wall wart or timer, they will either fit with the bulk of the device going upwards, or they won't fit at all. I believe a lot of the dc wall warts out there can be mounted both ways. So they will "fit". As far as whether or not the large wall wart will block neighboring outlets...i can't be sure of.

I've honestly never used this camera function of my phone til now. It's got some silly camera so you can take pictures of yourself haha. Or so you can take pics like this while using a fuge light for a flash
When you are looking at the power strip from the front, the dc plus are on the right and the 2 of them basically takes up about 4 outlets. The marineland timer is in the center and has the powerhead plugged on one side of it and the heater on the other.
