Any LFS in the south shore anymore? I know Lovely pets in Kingston but thats it. My 17 month old absolutely loves looking at my tank and now I have an excuse to go to a store. Problem is, she hates the car so we aren't looking to go for an hour plus drive to get to Love the Reef or even further OSA
Not really south shore, but there’s European Aquatics in Malden. On the weekends it would probably be 25~30min drive, which is my drive there from the north shore.
Marty’s been steadily increasing volume and rarity of livestock brought in along with dry goods and consumables. He’s also special ordered incredible specimens for me that aren’t typically seen.
I was just griping about this over the weekend. Lovely Pet's is in Kingston. I've supported Steve's shop for years, but most often times a place to look for a diamond in the rough or cleanup crew / food supplies and not a place for an advanced hobbyist. - read no high-end equipment in general. This shop was originally in Quincy... quite a few years back. There is another that shows up on Yelp but I think it's mostly, if not all, FW.
I had limited time this weekend and grabbed a Citron Goby from European. Marty is a nice guy. I talked about working with the club through sponsorship in the near future and it looks like something might come of it. From Weymouth it's a 50-60 minute drive any day of the week, including Saturday or Sunday - worth it if they have good stocking inventory.
I believe Kevin at All things Aquatic (Foxborough) keeps Sunday hours even though they have converted to Maintenance "mostly". That was the closest drive for my money and they were worth the visit.
